You need a certain amount of glucose to survive but you can live off of eating only 20g of carbs per day. Your body will make ketones and use that for energy since most cells are metabolically flexible. The brain runs better off of ketones anyways, but does require some glucose which it can get from gluconeogenesis

I went on a low carb/high protein/high fat/no sugar diet (keto) and lost 20lbs. Then I gained it all back because I couldn't keep it up. You can definitely lose weight going low carb (cant do carb free, that's impossible). But you have to keep it up. You have to replace bad eating habits with good ones. I realized that the reason I personally couldnt keep it up was because I couldn't cook and didn't have good mealplans, so I was struggling to find food to eat and was going hungry. If you cant make your own food, its impossible to go on a healthy diet. Its absolutely possible to lose weight going low carb!!! But you just have to know how.
Lol. The only time when people are too lazy to NOT do something. It's so easy to be like, "you know what, I won't buy that Snickers bar and eat it along with my meal" but people are too lazy to even do that. People are too lazy to save money, to cut down on calories, so they can have a healthier life. I don't understand, are people just getting more stupid, or.....
I just don't feel healthy.. I try to work out 3-7 hours a week (an hour everyday) mostly cardio and little stength training because of my body type (mesomorph) and I'm also black, so I have the tendency to get muscle rather quickly, I eat the double amount of recommended fruit & veg a day, I try to eat only whole wheat/brown products. Only drink water and/or tea, litte to 0 animal products. I try to fluctuate my calorie intake. I'm a 132 pounds right now. 5'3,5. I lost 11 pounds, but I _ just don't feel healthy_. Not at all, blood tests are great, healthy according to doctors. But I don't feel nor look healthy... (pretty overweight actually)
